After the implementation of LANGUAGE!, 33 percent of students in grades 6-8 grew one or more achievement level on the California State-ELA assessment from spring 2006 to spring 2007. A breakdown of the data by grade level shows 30 percent of students in grade 6; 44 percent of students in grade 7; and 22 percent of students in grade 8 grew one or more achievement level on the California State-ELA.
At every grade level, students enrolled in LANGUAGE! demonstrated statistically significant gains that were greater than those achieved by students statewide during the same assessment period.
